Amelia Sawalich
Office Manager and Manager of Racing Relations
I am the Starkey Hearing Center Office Manager and Manager of Racing Relations at SoundGear. I am originally from Eden Prairie, Minnesota and graduated in 2023 from Liberty University with a degree in Psychology. I moved to Mooresville, North Carolina, in 2021 to start integrating SoundGear into the NASCAR community.
I have been involved with Starkey for many years and was fortunate to be part of the Starkey Hearing Foundation from 2017–2020, where I had the opportunity to help people around the world experience the gift of hearing. What I enjoy most about my role in the clinic is serving our patients the Starkey way. I truly enjoy taking the time to get to know each patient, listen to their stories, and understand how better hearing can impact their lives. My goal is always to make sure every patient feels cared for and leaves our office happy and hearing their best.
Outside of work, I enjoy riding horses, watching NASCAR races, and spending time crafting.
Catherine Tschiember
Hearing Instrument Specialist
I am a Hearing Instrument Specialist.
Community and mental health means so much to me- I believe my purpose is to help people live life to the fullest by helping them hear better. When the pandemic turned our lives upside down in 2020, I noticed how difficult life became for people with hearing loss who could no longer read lips due to face masks. This piqued my interest in the hearing care field and here I am today, grateful as ever to have a career that fills my heart. I understand the challenges faced by individuals with hearing loss and I’m committed to providing exceptional care and support to our patients.
I was born and raised on Long Island, New York and recently relocated to the Charlotte area. Outside of work, you can find me at home experimenting with new recipes, learning American Sign Language, or out exploring the beautiful state of North Carolina. I’m also a huge hockey fan and love to garden.
Katie Williams
Patient Care Coordinator
I’m dedicated to creating a welcoming, compassionate experience for every patient. Originally from Toledo, Ohio, I spent 20 years in the suburbs of Chicago before relocating with my family to Davidson, North Carolina, in 2017 to be closer to my mother and sister.
I joined Starkey in 2025 and quickly developed a passion for the hearing healthcare industry. I enjoy helping patients discover how better hearing can improve communication, strengthen relationships, and enhance their overall quality of life. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, spending time outdoors exploring everything North Carolina has to offer, visiting local farmers’ markets and festivals, and making memories with my family and two dogs.
