Stacy Sawalich, AuD
Audiologist and Director of Racing, SoundGear
I have worked in hearing healthcare since 1992 and have been with Starkey since 1999. My current role is Director of Racing Relations for SoundGear and Mooresville Office Manager. I earned my doctorate in Audiology in 2004 and have worked numerous different hospital, clinical and manufacturer settings. My favorite by far is working with the racing community and investigating how to best protect the hearing of fans, drivers and crew.
My hobbies are watching all forms of racing, working out, walking the dogs, hiking, gardening, shopping and spending time with family and friends. My two children and I live in Mooresville. We have 3 dogs, a parakeet and a bearded dragon.
Kathryn Curtis, AuD
Audiologist
I have been practicing Audiology since 2002 with an undergraduate degree from Auburn University and a Doctoral Degree from Vanderbilt School of Medicine. I enjoy working with all ages from newborn to 99 and have spent much of my time working in ENT clinics across the south and Midwest. This includes time spent in Cincinnati, Greenville, right here in Mooresville, NC and Nashville. While in Nashville, I had the opportunity to work with many well known musicians and singers providing them with custom in-ear monitors and hearing protection. I am excited to be once again bringing hearing healthcare and conservation to the community with custom racing receivers and hearing protection products from SoundGear and Starkey. I enjoy having the opportunity to serve my community and provide top notch customer service. My spare time is spent with my husband and children. We like to participate in water sports, hiking, scouting, soccer and volunteering with The Cove Church. We also enjoy attending NASCAR races!
Catherine Tschiember, PSC
Patient Services Coordinator
I am a Patient Services Coordinator and Audio Technician, and currently an apprentice to become a state-licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist.
Community and mental health means so much to me- I believe my purpose is to help people live life to the fullest by helping them hear better. When the pandemic turned our lives upside down in 2020, I noticed how difficult life became for people with hearing loss who could no longer read lips due to face masks. This piqued my interest in the hearing care field and here I am today, grateful as ever to have a career that fills my heart. I understand the challenges faced by individuals with hearing loss and I’m committed to providing exceptional care and support to our patients.
I was born and raised on Long Island, New York and recently relocated to the Charlotte area. Outside of work, you can find me at home experimenting with new recipes, learning American Sign Language, or out exploring the beautiful state of North Carolina. I’m also a huge hockey fan and love to garden.
